Err Msg: Findfast Caused an Invalid Page Fault in Findfast.exe

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to connect to MSN, The Microsoft Network, you may receive one or both of the following error messages:

  • Findfast caused an invalid page fault in module Findfast.exe.
  • Osa caused an invalid page fault in module Osa.exe.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove the shortcuts to Microsoft Find Fast and Office Startup from the Startup folder. To do so, use the following steps:

  1. Right-click Start, and then click Open.

  2. Double-click the Programs folder.

  3. Double-click the Startup folder.

  4. Right-click the Microsoft Find Fast shortcut icon, and then click Delete.

  5. Right-click the Office Startup shortcut icon, and then click Delete.

  6. Close all open windows, and then restart the computer.
