The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSAfter you disconnect from MSN, The Microsoft Network, the MSN Sign-In screen may prompt you to type your MSN user name and password.
CAUSEThis behavior can occur if MSN is configured as your default Internet connection and you are running a program that uses the Internet.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, use either of the following methods. If you do not want to remain connected to the Internet, use method 1. If you want to remain connected to the Internet with a connection other than MSN, use method 2.
Method 1Quit all Internet-based programs that are running on your computer.
Method 2Do not use MSN for all of your Dial-Up Networking Internet access. To do so, follow these steps:
