SYMPTOMSIf you remove and reinstall Microsoft Exchange and MSN, The Microsoft Network, both the Classic MSN and the new MSN icons may appear on the desktop.
CAUSEThe connection between MSN and the Msn13.exe file may be damaged or missing.
RESOLUTIONTo remove the Classic MSN icon from the desktop, use the following steps:
