WORKAROUND
To insert the AutoText entry, follow these steps:
- Place the insertion point in the desired location.
- On the Insert menu, point to AutoText. Point to one of the AutoText
submenus and then click the desired AutoText entry.
For example, when you are typing "Sincerely yours" in a document, Word
should show an AutoComplete tip containing "Sincerely yours." However, this
tip does not appear. To work around this problem, point to AutoText on the
Insert menu, point to Closing, and then click on Sincerely Yours.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 97 for
Windows.
