The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to install Internet Explorer, the installation process may seem to stop responding (hang), and a Version Conflict dialog box button may be visible on the taskbar.
CAUSEDuring the installation of Internet Explorer, a Version Conflict dialog box may be generated. This dialog box may be visible only as a button on the taskbar. Until you respond to the Version Conflict dialog box, the installation process seems to hang.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, follow these steps:
