Q170554
When you start Internet Explorer after you install the Pipeline USA sample browser program, its Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) stack, and its dialer program, you may receive the following error message:
Unable to access the network. Please check your tcp/ip settings in the Control Panel.
This error message occurs because the Pipeline USA browser replaces the Windows 95 Wsock32.dll file with its own version of the Wsock32.dll file.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
extract /a <drive>:\win95\win95_11.cab wsock32.dll /l c:\<windows>\systemwhere <drive> is the drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM drive, and where <windows> is the name of the folder in which Windows is installed.
extract /a <drive>:\Win95_12.cab wsock32.dll /l c:\<windows>\systemwhere <drive> is the drive letter assigned to the floppy disk drive the Windows 95 floppy disk is located in, and where <windows> is the name of the folder in which Windows is installed.
