PRB: Error Message "Cannot find object file"

SYMPTOMS

The following error message appears when you try to use the Puzzle custom effect: 

   "Cannot find object file"

RESOLUTION

From the Puzzle dialog box, select the Texture type, Local or Global. This depends on the type of 2D texture assignment your model has. Make sure the correct mapping Projection is selected. The projection must be consistent with the Model's 2D texture editor Mapping component type.

Before applying the Puzzle effect, you must apply the 2D texture to the Parent Null of the branch or hierarchy. When you are prompted to "Select the Source model," pick the Parent Null of the branch or hierarchy.
