PRB:Error Message: "You are running in a non-true-color display"

SYMPTOMS

The following error message appears when you try to execute SOFTIMAGE 3D, showpic, or flipbook on NT 4.0:

   "Error Message-You appear to be running in a non-true-color
   display mode."

CAUSE

SOFTIMAGE 3D for Windows NT can only run in true-color modes.

RESOLUTION

You must copy the gl4emult.dll file to the SI_LOCATION\3D\bin location. A gl4emults.zip file is located on the Softimage ftp/incoming site. It contains all three CPUs (Alpha, Intel, & MIPS) of the dll.
