CRS: Web Administrator Dialog Boxes Incorrectly Sized with IE 4

Last reviewed: February 3, 1998
Article ID: Q166455

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Commercial Internet System, version 1.0
  • Microsoft Site Server, version 2.0

SYMPTOMS

When you view the Content Replication Server (CRS) version 2.0 Web Administrator’s dialog boxes in Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) version 4.0, the boxes are incorrectly sized. Also the OK, Cancel, and Help buttons are not visible, and the dialog box window is not resizable.

CAUSE

The dialog box sizes are hard coded in the Ossa Web Administrator, and IE 4.0 puts more vertical white space in tables in the dialog boxes than IE 3.0 does.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Content Replication Server version 2.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
