The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you place the mouse pointer over an active control object (such as an animated button control) in Internet Explorer, the ToolTip box may not display the title text for the active control.
CAUSEInternet Explorer does not support ToolTip box text for active controls.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Explorer 4.0 Platform Preview 1. This problem does not occur with Internet Explorer 4.0 Platform Preview 2. To obtain Internet Explorer 4.0 Platform Preview 2, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/ie/ie40/ MORE INFORMATIONThe ToolTip box is the dynamic text window that appears at the end of the mouse pointer when the pointer is left sitting over a button or other object type.
