SUMMARY

If you have installed FLEXlm on a workstation with a “C” and “D” drive partition, you may encounter problems when trying to run SOFTIMAGE. Problems occur if there is not enough space to install FLEXlm on the “C” drive.

When you install SOFTIMAGE, the FLEXlm driver information (.dll files) is automatically placed on the “C” drive (even if you choose to install SOFTIMAGE 3D on the “D” drive). When you attempt to run SOFTIMAGE, the “C” and “D” drive partition prevents the software from accessing the FLEXlm .dll files that are necessary to run SOFTIMAGE. To correct this problem, you must move the FLEXlm directory from the “C” drive to the “D” drive.
