Computer with NeoMagic Display Hangs When PC Card Is Inserted

SYMPTOMS
When you insert a PC Card device into a computer running Windows 95 OEM
Service Release 2 or 2.1, the computer may stop responding (hang). This
behavior may occur on computers that use a NeoMagic display adapter.
CAUSE
During enumeration of a PC Card device, memory reads may be performed at
addresses that are not mapped to physical RAM, causing the computer to
hang.
RESOLUTION
STATUS
This problem no longer occurs in Windows 98. To resolve this problem, install the current version of Windows. For information about the current version of Windows, visit
