Last reviewed: August 28, 1997

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft NetMeeting version 1.0 for Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Send File command, your computer may seem to stop responding (hang). When this occurs, the mouse pointer changes to a "busy" pointer (by default, an hourglass) and you are unable to select the program window or items on the desktop.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft NetMeeting version 1.0 for Windows 95. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

It can take several minutes for the Select A File To Send dialog box to appear. Your computer then responds normally. After you initially use the Send File command, subsequent uses of the command should respond more quickly. This behavior typically occurs when you are using a modem connection.
