PRB: Error Message "Not Enough Disk Space"

SYMPTOMS

When you are trying to save your scene, the following error message appears: 

  "Not Enough Disk Space"

CAUSE

This is a result of scene filenames (materials, models, textures, etc.) that are extremely long due to too many dashes (-) and dots (.) in them. This usually occurs when scenes, models, and textures are combined from multiple scenes.

RESOLUTION

Check the Status line for the name of the file causing the error message. You will have to shorten it to 12 characters or less.

Or, compete the following to locate and rename files that have long filenames:

  1. Open a DOS shell and cd to the directory where your scene files are located.

  2. At the command prompt, type dir /s. This commands lists the files in the current directory.

  3. Change the name of any long filenames that appear.
