Sent File Ignores Read-Only Attribute of Destination Folder

SYMPTOMS

When you send a file to a conference member, the file transfer may occur even though one of the following circumstances exists:

  • The read-only attribute is set on the receiving file folder.
  • A read-only network share is set as the receiving file folder.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft NetMeeting. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
