SUMMARYThis article provides a brief explanation of the PS_Path Model custom effect and where to find it: PS_Path Model Custom is a tool that allows you to read Bpf (Binary particle files) into SOFTIMAGE 3D. The effect creates a path in SOFTIMAGE 3D representing the trajectory of every particle in a Particle system. A SOFTIMAGE 3D object is then applied to each of the paths, representing each particle. Each new object is then animated independently on each path. You will find PS_Path in Model/Get. You can will also find the PS_CUSTOMS tar file (which contains two other useful tools for importing Particle animation into SOFTIMAGE 3D) on the Softimage ftp site. The address is:
ftp.softimage.com/pub/support/gifts/Particle-v1.0There is also a README file that explain the installation process and how to use the three custom effects.
