Ideal Pagefile Size For SOFTIMAGE 3D

  • Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.01

SUMMARY

For SOFTIMAGE 3D the best Pagefile size is at least 200Mb, with an upper limit of 250-300Mb for optimum performance.

Set Pagefile Size:

  1. From the Program Manager, select Main>Control Panel>System.

  2. In the System Control panel, select Virtual Memory.

  3. Select the D: drive in the drive window.

  4. Change the Initial Size (MB) to 200.

  5. Change the Maximum Size (MB) to 250 or 300.

  6. Click Set, then click Ok.

It is necessary to reboot your machine for the new setting to take effect.
