OL97: Error Message: "You cannot group items by this field"

SYMPTOMS

When you use the group-by-field feature of Microsoft Outlook 97, you may receive the following error message:
You cannot group items by this field.

CAUSE

Outlook cannot group by certain types of fields, such as Formula and Combination field types.
