The information in this article applies to:
  • Softimage 3D for IRIX, versions 3.0, 3.5, 3.51

SUMMARY

If you are unable to import files into SOFTIMAGE 3D that were created with other software, the following two tips may help:

  • Copy them to your MODEL chapter of a SOFTIMAGE 3D database.
  • Since other systems handle their models differently than SOFTIMAGE 3D and there are often extra elements, try removing some elements from your model before importing them.
