Usage Of the Undo And Redo Buttons In The Paint Dialogue Box

SUMMARY

There are two sets of Undo and Redo buttons in the 3D Paint dialog box. The reason for this is because there are operations you can do that are not associated to painting on a texture, but rather affect the data in a mesh directly. Such operations include selecting polygons on a mesh, tagging vertices and vertex color painting. To undo these operations, you use the Undo and Redo buttons under the 3D view.

However, when you modify the texture itself or edit the UV coordinates, you use the Undo and Redo buttons that are next to the Clip options.
