SUMMARY

The information contained in this article is specific to animators who have many scenes that repeatedly use the same animation sequences.

If you setup shared databases such that different scenes, at different times can access one animation file, you eliminate duplicating animation files which are being referenced individually, therefore saving disk space.

You will find the procedure for setting up shared databases in the SOFTIMAGE 3D version 3.51 Release Notes.
