SUMMARY

Shape Animation Is Not Copied With Other Fcurves

Since a shape fcurve does not contain shape information, but only transition information between shapes, using the command FcrvCopy>Object>All (or > Shape) will not copy a duplicated objects shape animation. This is also the case for cluster, lattice and (path) translation animations.

The FcrvCopy>Object>All commands in the Motion module allow you to copy the function curve(s) of animated objects selected in the submenus from a source object to the currently selected object. The subcommand "All" only refers to the transformation parameters of scale, rotation, and translation.

If you wish to copy the shape animation of an object that you are duplicating, before duplicating the object, you must activate the Shape Animation box in the Duplicate > Setup dialogue box, then choose Duplicate > Immediate. Now when the original object with shape animation is duplicated, the shape animation is copied to the duplicated object.
