BUG: CREATE TABLE Trailing Comma Not Treated as Syntax Error

SYMPTOMS
If the column list in a CREATE TABLE command is terminated with a comma, as
in the following statement:
create table CommaTab (cola int, colb char(8),)
SQL Server does not flag this as a syntax error.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, correct the CREATE TABLE command.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
