The information in this article applies to:
  • Softimage 3D for Windows NT, versions 3.01, 3.51

SUMMARY

If you are replacing a two-button mouse with a three-button mouse, you must also change the mouse driver information. Neglecting to change the driver information will result in SOFTIMAGE 3D suddenly freezing while performing simple functions.

MORE INFORMATION

Complete the following procedure to make the necessary driver modification:

  1. From Control Panel, select the 'Mouse' setup icon.

  2. Click the 'General' tab, and then click the 'Change' button.

  3. From the Manufacture list, highlight the make of your new mouse.

  4. From the Model list, highlight the model of your new mouse.

This should resolve the problem.
