OL97: How to Copy or Move Outlook Folders

SUMMARY

You can move or copy a Microsoft Outlook 97 folder from one location to another.

NOTE: You cannot copy multiple folders. They must be copied one at a time.

To move a folder, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the folder in the Folder List.

  2. Holding down the mouse button, drag the folder on top of another folder. The folder with its subfolders and their contents becomes a subfolder to the target folder.

To copy a folder, follow these steps:

  1. Using the right mouse button, click on the folder in the Folder List.

  2. On the shortcut menu, click Copy "foldername."

  3. In the "Copy the selected folder to the folder" dialog box, select a new location.

  4. Click OK. The folder with its subfolders and their contents becomes a subfolder to the selected folder.
