SYMPTOMS
If you use the admin.update action without using the validation structure,
and also without a value specified for the argument(s), you will receive
an
internal SQL formatting error.
For example, the following statements can cause such an error:
[xform admin.update table="testtable" keys="name"]
<INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="name" VALUE="">
<INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="email" VALUE="">
<INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT">
[/xform]
The following is the text of the error message:
Error
dbi.program-error: Unable to perform update: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL
Server
Driver][SQL Server]Line 1: Incorrect syntax near 'se'. in EXEC sql:
update testtable se wh parameters: [] (running with debug_all_stores
set
to 0 will display a general message).
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, specify a validation structure for the
admin.update action, and make sure a value is specified for each argument.
