PRB: Add Store: Search and Replace Collisions
PSS ID Number: 160730
Article Last Modified on 3/10/2000

SYMPTOMS
If you have a file called Test.html and a file called AW.html in your
Adventure Works (AW) starter store, and then you clone the AW store to
create a new store called "Test" using the Merchant Administrator Control
Panel, both filenames will be mapped to Test.html. The Add Store operation
succeeds with Test.html's contents equal to the contents of one of the two
original files. Note that the AW store is used as an example, and the
problem may occur with any store you clone.
WORKAROUND
Review your template names before using the Add Store feature in Merchant
Administrator, to make sure there is no template with the same name as the
new store you wish to clone from Adventure Works. If you find any
templates
with the same name, either rename the template or manually clone the AW
store.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Merchant Server
version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information
here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
