  • Softimage 3D for Windows NT, versions 3.0, 3.01, 3.51

SUMMARY

The Effect -> Puzzle command in the Model module allows you to apply 2D textures (global or local) to several objects (polygon meshes give the best results) that have different and coherent cropping and translation values.

To get reliable, and predictable texture results when you use the Puzzle custom effect:

  • Apply Puzzle before you begin animating (particularly rotations but all transformations may cause problems) your hierarchy of objects.
  • If you did not apply Puzzle first, you have to reset all transformation fcurves on your animated hierarchy.
