How To Untar and Read .tar Files on Windows NT

SUMMARY

If you have a scene in an SGI compressed and tarred file format, WinZip 6.0 (or higher) and WinTar enable you to untar and uncompress them on Windows NT. These programs enable you to read and create both .Z and .tar formats on Windows NT.
