SYMPTOMS

When you install new sentinel drivers on the Raptor, the install program that comes with Sentinel drivers cannot read the Raptor port.

RESOLUTION

In this procedure you remove and reinstall the Sentinel driver:

  1. From Control Panel, double-click the Drivers icon and remove the current Sentinel driver.

  2. Shut down and reboot your computer.

  3. Open Drivers again and select Add a Driver.

  4. Select the Alpha Sentinel driver (assuming that you have an Alpha Raptor).

  5. When the installation is complete, shut down and reboot your computer.

  6. Open Drivers and select the Sentinel driver then press Setup.

  7. In Setup, change the Port Type from Auto Detect to IBM AT.

  8. Once again, shut down your computer and then restart it.

Now the driver can read port.
