SYMPTOMS

The following message may be displayed when you run the Banyan Vines Migration Tool and attempt to open a database:

   The database <path>\filename.mdb could not be opened.
   Error code 424: Object required

CAUSE

Microsoft Access 95 is not installed, or is improperly set up, on the computer performing the migration.

RESOLUTION

Install Microsoft Access 95 on the computer with the Banyan Vines Migration Tool.
