PRB: Error #91 Repeatedly Scrolls Down Your Monitor

Last reviewed: November 27, 1996
Article ID: Q157887
The information in this article applies to:
  • Softimage 3D for IRIX, versions 3.5, 3.51

SYMPTOMS

The following error message scrolls down your monitor:

"ERROR #91 lmbind - index 25 for target 1000 not found: ERR_USERERROR"

CAUSE

This only occurs if you minimize the Shade view window while the system is defining lights or material. When the system completes the calculation of a command, it attempts to refresh the Shade view, but cannot because it has been minimized.

RESOLUTION

If you are executing a command that requires a significant amount of cpu for the system to process, switch from Shade to Wire view first. Refreshing the Shade view window requires more cpu, thus causing an increase in processing time. Do not change your view windows while the system is processing heavy scenes.
