FIX: Transparent Label Control Comes Up Opaque in IE3 |
Q157828
A Label control with the BackStyle property set to Transparent comes up opaque when inserted into an HTML document, and then loaded into either Internet Explorer 3.x or 4.0.
One workaround to this problem is to set the control's background color (or BackColor property) to the same color as the HTML document background. However, this works only when the document background is set to a solid color, and not when it is set to a background image. If a background image is specified for an HTML document, the Label control should not be used.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This bug was corrected in Internet Explorer 5.01.
