WD97: Pictures Visible Even When Picture Placeholders Check Box Selected

SYMPTOMS
After you select Picture Placeholders, pictures in a Word document continue
to appear.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use either of the following methods.
Method 1: Reinsert the Picture
To reinsert the picture, follow these steps:
- On the Insert menu, click Picture, and then click From File.
- Select the picture you want to insert, clear the "Float over text" check
box, and then click Insert.
Method 2: Convert the Picture to an Inline Format
To convert the picture to an inline format, follow these steps:
- Select the picture.
- Right-click the picture.
- On the shortcut menu that appears, click "Clip (Picture) Object" and
click Convert.
- In the Convert dialog box, clear the "Float over text" check box and
click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the
beginning of this article.
