To migrate Banyan Vines network objects to a Windows NT domain requires that you first run the Banyan Vines Migration Tool and migrate organizations, groups, and users. The V2NTCP program that comes with the Banyan Vines Migration Tool can be used after the Banyan Vines StreetTalk objects have been exported to a Windows NT domain controller.

User accounts must exist before you run the V2NTCP program because the program needs to look up the SID for every StreetTalk account in the Access Rights List (ARL). V2NTCP uses V2ntcpdb.txt, which is a mapping file of all the exported user accounts. The program reads the mapping file for every ARL that needs to be converted to an ACL. The program will check to see if the user accounts exist on the domain controller before migrating.

The Banyan Mail Migration Tool can use the Windows NT NOS database to export recipient mail addresses to a Microsoft Exchange Server. To export users, groups, and organizations, the Banyan Vines Migration Tool must be initiated before the Mail Migration Tool.
