SUMMARY
Banyan Vines StreetTalk names are mapped to a Windows NT domain controller
during an export. The following mappings are the default mappings from a
Banyan Vines server to Windows NT server:
Banyan Vines Windows NT ---------------------------- Organization Domain name Groups Global Groups Lists Local Groups User Name User NameDefault group mappings can be customized by changing global groups to local groups and local groups to global groups. Nested lists are controlled by the Migration Tool built-in algorithm called Intelligent List Flattening. The description on how it works is described below.
Intelligent List Flattening
Global groups within Local groups are flattened.
Local groups within Local groups are flattened.
Wildcards are Flattened.
Local groups within Global groups are flattened.
Global groups from a trusted domain within Local groups are not
flattened.
Banyan Vines user account details are also exported from a Banyan Vines
server. User mass editing can be used in the Migration Tools to customize
usernames and passwords. The following list is of the default mappings:
