Migration Steps to Migrate Banyan Vines User and Group Account

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows NT Server version 3.51

Use the following migration steps to migrate Banyan Vines User and Group Accounts using the Migration Tool.

  1. Log on to the Windows NT server as Domain Administrator.

  2. Log on to the Banyan Vines server as Group and Server Administrator using the Banyan Vines Client for Windows NT.

  3. Run the V2NT migration tool program.

  4. Open the V2ntdata.mdb database file.

  5. Import Banyan Vines organizations, groups, and user accounts.

  6. Modify the database as needed.

  7. Export to command scripts.

  8. Run the command scripts on the primary domain controller.
