SUMMARY

When you duplicate an object that has an expression assigned to it, the expression is not duplicated. This article explains how to copy an expression from an object that you have duplicated.

MORE INFORMATION

To copy an expression from an object that you have duplicated, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Schematic window, select the object that you want to receive the expression (the destination object).

  2. From the Motion module choose the Expression -> Copy command. You are now in the Copy Expression mode.

  3. Pick the object whose expression you want to copy. The destination object inherits the expressions from the object you pick.

  4. Right-click to end.

You can use the Expression -> Copy command to copy the expressions affecting one element to another element of the same type.
