PRJ41: Resource Calendar Ignores Base Calendar Exceptions

SYMPTOMS

Tasks are not scheduled according to their resources' calendars and scheduling error messages such as "Late Date before Scheduled date..." are displayed.

CAUSE

A Resource calendar ignores exceptions from its base calendar when the following is true:

  1. The exception being ignored is not the first exception in the base calendar.
  2. A resource is assigned to a task and the resource calendar has at least 10 exceptions.
  3. The exception occurs when the task would otherwise be scheduled.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project for Windows 95 version 4.1a.
