When you are installing Internet Explorer 3.0 for Windows 95, you may receive the following error message:
If you click OK, Setup closes.Setup has been canceled. Microsoft Internet Explorer was not set up successfully.
This error can occur if the drive on which you are installing Internet Explorer does not have enough free space. The Internet Explorer files use approximately 10-15 megabytes (MB) of disk space after installation, but the Setup program can require considerably more space.
Increase the amount of free space on the disk on which you are installing
Internet Explorer. For a Full or Typical installation, you need at least
63 MB of free disk space. For a Minimal installation, you need at least 25
MB of free space. To increase the amount of free space on the hard
disk, try the following methods:
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Explorer version 3.0 for Windows 95. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
