Send To Mail Recipient Unavailable on SpeedDial Shortcuts

SYMPTOMS

When you are creating a SpeedDial shortcut, the Send To Mail Recipient option is not available. You can only choose to save the shortcut on the desktop.

CAUSE

You do not have a messaging application programming interface (MAPI) compliant mail client installed.

RESOLUTION

Install a MAPI-compliant mail client. Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Windows Messaging are both examples of MAPI-compliant mail clients.
