Installing IE 3.0 Does Not Delete IE 2.0 History Folder

SYMPTOMS

When you install Internet Explorer 3.0, the history folder for Internet Explorer 2.0 is not deleted.

CAUSE

Internet Explorer 3.0 Setup does not remove Internet Explorer version 2.0, it merely renames it. This ensures the ability to run either Internet Explorer 3.0 or 2.0.

RESOLUTION

To delete the contents of the Internet Explorer 2.0 history folder, perform the following steps:

  1. In Windows Explorer or My Computer, locate the following folder:

          Program Files\Plus!\Microsoft Internet\History
    

  2. On the Edit menu, click Select All.

  3. On the File menu, click Delete.
