Not All Security Preferences Enabled by Default in IE 3.0

SUMMARY

By default, the security features of Internet Explorer are not set to use the safest level when sending information over an open connection. The only option that is enabled by default is when information more than one line long is sent from Internet Explorer. All other options under Advanced Options are left disabled.

To enable Internet Explorer's security features, perform the following steps:

  1. On the View menu, click Options.

  2. Click the Advanced tab.

  3. Select the options in the Warnings area that you want to use.

  4. Click OK.
