MORE INFORMATION
Whiteboard Features
NetMeeting includes a Whiteboard tool that allows online meeting
participants to draw pictures and write text that can be used to
illustrate ideas. Whiteboard is based on the ActiveX Conferencing
platform and includes the following features:
- When one person in a meeting runs Whiteboard, it appears on all screens. Everyone in the meeting can then draw on the Whiteboard simultaneously and see what other people are drawing. If you do not want other meeting participants to be able to draw on the Whiteboard, you can lock the contents of Whiteboard so that only you can draw on it.
- Unlike other shared programs that you run from NetMeeting, separate instances of Whiteboard run on all computers participating in the meeting. Because meeting participants are not using the same instance of Whiteboard, they can resize, minimize, or maximize the Whiteboard window on their computer independent of the Whiteboard windows on other computers.
- In addition to the standard text and drawing tools that are available on the toolbar and on the Tools menu, Whiteboard includes advanced drawing tools that allow you to paste a portion of your desktop or an entire window into Whiteboard. You can also zoom in or out, insert additional pages, or clear the current page.
- You can save the current contents of the Whiteboard so they can be displayed when you use Whiteboard in the future.
- The Whiteboard included in NetMeeting version 3.01 is T.126 compliant by default and supports 24 bit color.
