PRB: The MERGE Scripts In 3D Tools No Longer Work

SYMPTOMS

Please note that the four "MERGE" scripts in the Softimage 3D Tools directory do not work in versions 3.0 and later.

The mergeField executable used by these scripts is not included in the 3D bin. The "MERGE" scripts functions have been replaced by the five "inter" scripts using the interleave standalone.

WARNING: Users who run MERGE3 as a post-script will have their fields rendered, then deleted frame by frame without any final image files being produced.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
