Online Registration Error Message: No Modem Is Available

SYMPTOMS
========

Toward the end of Setup when you click the Online Registration
button, you may receive the following error message:

   Registration Wizard

   No modem is available on this system. If you do not install
   a modem, you will not be able to run this application. Would
   you like to install one now?

CAUSE
=====

The Registration Wizard is trying to detect a modem. The modem is either
not installed or is malfunctioning.

RESOLUTION
===========

If your system lacks a modem, you will not be able to use the Registration
Wizard. If there is a modem on the system, contact your Windows 95 service
provider for further assistance.

If you can connect with one modem but not another, contact your modem
manufacturer for assistance.

MORE INFORMATI0N
================

This problem does not affect Publisher installation: if the online
registration button is available, Publisher 95 Setup has already completed
successfully.
