PRB: What to Do When the Mapping of a Tablet is Inversed

Last reviewed: June 19, 1996
Article ID: Q152594
The information in this article applies to:
  • Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.01
  • Softimage 3D for IRIX, version 3.50
  • Softimage Eddie for IRIX, version 3.2a
  • Softimage Toonz for IRIX, version 3.50

SYMPTOMS

In Softimage 3D, Softimage Eddie, or Softimage Toonz, when you move the stylus from left to right on a tablet, on the screen it appears to move from right to left. When this happens, the mapping of the tablet is inversed.

RESOLUTION

Change directory to /usr/lib/X11/input/config and edit the appropriate file (wacom or tablet depending on the driver you are using) and remove the exclamation point (!) from the line that says: invert "!y1".

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
