Cannot Delete System Admin Message After Checking Properties

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to delete a System Administrator message that you have not modified, you may receive the following message: 

   Item could not be deleted. The action could not be carried out because
   an attachment has been modified.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you view the properties of the message before attempting to delete it.
