Summary:

Macros can be defined interactively by positioning the cursor on the
cell that is to contain the macro, selecting the ALPHA command, and
pressing the Edit Macro key (F5 or CTRL+V). Multiplan then replaces
the keys that were pressed with their appropriate macro key/command
codes. For example, pressing the ESC key would produce a 'cn in the
cell to be used by the macro. When in the Edit Macro mode, the letters
"EM" will appear on the bottom line of the screen. To quit the Edit
Macro mode, press F5 a second time.
