APPLE II

Summary:
Because the Multiplan Boot disk does not have the code required for
3.5 inch or hard disks, there is no feasible way to get Apple DOS
Multiplan downloaded to 3.5 inch disks. There are no plans to upgrade
this version of Multiplan to support hard disks or 3.5 inch drives.
For the Apple III SOS only (Version 1.12), QUARK, INC. markets a
product called CATALYST that allows Multiplan for the Apple III (note:
Apple III, not II) to be installed to a PROFILE hard disk. The usage
is as follows:

        WITH CATALYST: 256 K RAM =175 K usable space.
                                         128 K RAM =78 K usable space.
        WITHOUT CATALYST: 256 K RAM =148 K usable space.

Without Catalyst, Apple III Multiplan will recognize the hard disk
as a storage device only, so worksheet files can be saved to the hard
disk, but Multiplan would have to be run from the floppy drive.
